Westwood, Mass.- June 7, 2001- Hitachi America, Inc., a subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT), today announced a corporate monitor trade-in program that makes it easier for large companies to upgrade their monitors. Under the new program, corporations can receive financial credit toward the purchase of a new Hitachi monitor, for every working monitor they trade in. This reduces the overall cost of upgrading their monitors while also saving the costs and hassle associated with recycling or disposing of the older monitors. Hitachi will accept 15” - 21” monitors of any brand toward the purchase of a current new Hitachi monitor. Also as part of the program, Hitachi offers a service that provides environmentally safe recycling or disposal of non-working monitors. Available to corporate customers who meet the minimum required monitor trade-in quantity, Hitachi will offer this program through its authorized ChannelConnect™ partners. Corporate customers can attain details about the program by calling Hitachi monitor pre-sales support at 1-800-441-4832 or by contacting a participating Hitachi ChannelConnect™ partner.
