To meet the customer requirement to match popular black cabinet computers or their home/office décor, Hitachi now offers its award-winning 19-inch CM772 flat-faced CRT monitor, 21-inch CM823F flat-faced CRT monitor and 17-inch CML170 flat panel display in a black (midnight gray) cabinet.

The following Hitachi monitors are now available in beige and new black (midnight gray) cabinets. Hitachi will continue to sell the CM823F, CM772 and CML170 monitors, which are the beige counterparts of the new models. The new models will have the same high quality specifications, exterior design, and controls, just in black (midnight gray) colored plastics.

 

• Hitachi’s CM823FB 21-inch flat-faced monitor. Hitachi’s CM823FB is a black (midnight gray) 21-inch (20 inch viewable) Invar Shadow Mask monitor based on Hitachi’s award-winning ErgoFlat technology. Recently scoring 4.5 out of 5 stars by Cadalyst magazine (May ’00), the CM823F & CM823FB provide vibrant, realistic images with significantly reduced glare and a space-saving depth of only 18.7”. The maximum resolution on these monitors is 2048x1536 at a flicker-free 75 Hz. With a super-fine dot pitch of .214 mm average horizontal and .14 mm vertical, and energy consumption that is 20% lower than comparable 21-inch monitors, the MSRP is $969.
  
  
• Hitachi’s CM772B 19-inch flat-faced monitor. Hitachi’s CM772B is a black (midnight gray) 19-inch Invar Shadow Mask monitor with Hitachi’s award-winning ErgoFlat technology. The CM772 tied for first place with 4/5 stars in PC Magazine (1/19/01) and the CM772 & CM772B deliver high resolution, high refresh rates, reduced glare and high video clock speeds as well as a reduced depth of only 17.7”. These monitors provide a maximum resolution of 1600x1280 at a flicker-free 85 Hz. With a tight dot pitch of .22 mm horizontal and .14 mm vertical, it enables vibrant, realistic images that are both crisp and bright. MSRP is $469.
  
  
• Hitachi’s CML170B 17-inch flat panel LCD. Hitachi’s CML170B flat panel display combines high image quality and performance in a sleek, black (midnight gray) multimedia display unit. It delivers a large viewing area in a thin form factor, with minimal glare and emissions and high image quality. With a prime resolution of 1280x1024, these monitors features integrated stereo speaker, volume control on the bezel, headphone jack and VESA FPMPMI mounting arm interface. MSRP is $1299.
